In an effort to mark the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' with a strong commitment towards water conservation and grey water recycling, the Ministry of Jal Shakti has initiated the 'SUJALAM Campaign'. This campaign, spanning over a duration of 100 days from August 25th, is geared towards the creation of ODF Plus villages by implementing efficient wastewater management systems at the grassroots level. Central to this mission is the establishment of one million soak-pits and other greywater management practices that contribute to holistic village sanitation and water resource preservation.
