Territorial Army Application Fees 

The application fee for the Territorial Army Exam for Officer posts is Rs.500/-. The payment should be made through the prescribed modes as mentioned above and payment through any other mode will be rejected. The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Territorial Army Exam Eligibility 2025

Candidates applying for the recruitment must ensure that they fulfil the Territorial Army Eligibility in terms of their age, qualification, physical standards, etc. Details of the same are given below.

• For Officer level posts graduates are eligible to apply.
• The age limit for all posts is 18 - 42 years.
• Serving members of the Regular Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, GREF, Military Forces, and like forces are not eligible.
• The applicant must be an Indian Citizen (male and female).​
• For the post of Soldier (GD) 10th-pass candidates can apply, while for the post of Soldier (Clerk) applicants must have passed class 12th from a recognized board of education.
• For Soldier (Tradesman) post, applicants for all trades except House Keeper and Mess Keeper must have passed class 10th. Candidates applying for House Keeper and Mess Keeper trades must have passed class 8th from a recognized education board.

Territorial Army Selection Process for Soldiers

To be recruited as Soldiers/ Soldiers (Tradesmen) in the Territorial Army, applicants will have to participate in the recruitment rally for their respective region. The stages of selection include the following:

Physical Standards

At this stage, the candidate's physical parameters like height, weight, etc., are measured to ensure their eligibility for this post.

Trade Test

Physical Fitness Test

Territorial Army Selection Process for Officers

The selection process for Officers is different from soldiers. The various stages for the same are explained below.

Online Exam

This is an objective-type exam of 100 marks. Candidates who qualify the written exam will be selected for the SSB Interview.

SSB Interview

The candidates who are selected after the screening round will have to appear for SSB Examination. At this stage, Psychological Aptitude and Intelligence will be assessed.

Medical Examination 

Selected candidates will thereafter be subjected to a thorough health check-up and a physical examination per the Military Hospital's requirements.
