As per the SSC JHT Vacancy 2025 details, the Staff Selection Commission has announced approximately 437 tentative vacancies for various Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts. These include Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Senior Hindi Translator, Senior Translator, and Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) roles across multiple Central Government departments.
The exact number of vacancies will be finalized and updated in due course on the official SSC website. Post-wise and category-wise vacancy details will also be shared once confirmed. However, candidates must note that SSC does not release state-wise or zone-wise vacancies. Keep checking the official portal for the latest vacancy updates.
Candidates can submit the SSC Junior Hindi Translator Applications Online. The steps to submit the SSC JHT Application Form are as follows.
Candidates must complete the One-Time Registration before applying for the SSC JHT 2025 exam. Aadhaar-based authentication is enabled, and essential documents like Aadhaar, email ID, and mobile number are required.
Applicants can authenticate using their Aadhaar number. Those opting out must upload valid ID proofs such as PAN, Voter ID, or Driving License for name, DoB, address, and gender verification.
Enter personal information such as name, date of birth, father's and mother's names exactly as mentioned in your 10th class certificate. These fields must be verified twice to avoid errors.
Fill in your 10th class board name, roll number, and passing year. Also, provide a working mobile number and email ID to receive OTPs for verification and further communication.
After saving your basic details, confirm the OTPs sent to your mobile and email to receive your Registration Number and auto-generated password. Complete the process within 14 days.
Use your registration number and password to log in. Upon first login, change your password and re-login to proceed further in the One-Time Registration process.
Provide your category, nationality, identification mark, disability certificate number (if applicable), and permanent and current addresses in this section. Review all information before final submission.
After reviewing the draft preview, click “Final Submit” and verify via OTP. Read and agree to the declaration. Incomplete registrations within 14 days will be automatically deleted.
The Fee can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit card. Online fee can be paid by candidates up to 27.06.2024 (23:00 hours). The application fee that has to be paid by the candidate is different as per the category and is mentioned below:

Candidates who are willing to apply for the Junior Hindi Translator post must meet the SSC JHT Eligibility set by the conducting authority. Those candidates who fulfill the criteria only they are eligible for this post. The criteria are divided into age limit, education qualification which is stated below.
For the post of Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF, the age limit is 18 to 30 years as of the closing date of application submission. That means candidates must have been born between 25-06-1995 and 26-06-2007 to be eligible.
For all other posts under SSC JHT 2025, the age will be calculated as on 01-08-2025. Applicants must be between 18 to 30 years, i.e., born between 02-08-1995 and 01-08-2007. Additionally, there are provisions for upper age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the government norms.
The Educational qualifications vary by position but generally include a Master's degree in Hindi or English, with one language as a compulsory subject. Additional qualifications include a recognized translation diploma or certificate or relevant translation work experience in government offices. This ensures candidates are well-versed in both Hindi and English languages for translation roles.
The selection process for SSC JHT 2025 involves two key stages—Paper-I (Computer Based Test) and Paper-II (Descriptive Test). Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I, which are 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS, and 20% for all other categories. Based on Paper-I scores, candidates will be shortlisted category-wise for the Descriptive Paper-II.
The final merit list will be prepared considering the marks obtained in both Paper-I and Paper-II. Allocation of ministries and departments will be based on candidate preferences and performance. It’s crucial to note that once a post is allotted based on preference and merit, it cannot be changed later. Therefore, candidates must carefully fill out their post and department preferences during the application process, as no request for changes will be entertained under any circumstances.
