Major Changes in SBI PO 2025

Starting this year, the State Bank of India (SBI) has made significant changes, as mentioned in the SBI PO Notification 2025. The following changes have been introduced:

• The initial basic pay has been raised to Rs. 48,480, and the in-hand salary is now between Rs. 84,000 to Rs. 85,000 per month.
• A sectional cut-off will now be applied in the Mains exam.
• In the Prelims, the English section will have 40 questions, while the Reasoning and Quantitative sections will have 30 questions each.
• In the Mains exam, the number of objective-type questions has increased to 170 (previously 150). However, the number of questions in the descriptive test has not been specified.

SBI PO 2025 Selection Process

The SBI PO selection process is a three-staged process to shortlist the most eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officer at the State Bank of India.

Phase I: SBI PO Prelims Exam 

It will be an objective-type online examination conducted for 100 marks. Candidates who qualify this stage will be shortlisted for the Mains.

Phase II: SBI PO Mains Exam 

This stage of the selection process will be an online examination comprising objective type questions for 200 marks and descriptive type questions for 50 marks.

Phase III: SBI PO Psychometric Test 

This is the last stage of the selection process. It comprises group exercise for 20 marks and interview for 30 marks.

SBI PO 2025 Eligibility Criteria
