ICLS Salary During Probation Period

During the probation period, officers in the Indian Corporate Law Service receive a fixed monthly salary and certain allowances. This period is crucial for officers to gain practical experience and familiarize themselves with the job's responsibilities. Here are the details of the ICLS salary during the probation period:

  • The probationary officers in the Indian Corporate Law Service receive a fixed monthly salary of around INR 56,100. This helps them have a steady income as they start their career. They also get a dearness allowance, which is extra money to help with the increasing living costs. 
  • The dearness allowance is about 17% of their basic salary. If officers don't get a government place to live, they receive a house rent allowance (HRA) to cover their accommodation expenses. The amount of HRA depends on where they are posted and can be between 8% and 24% of their basic salary. This helps them find suitable housing during the probation period. 
  • To make it easier for officers to travel to work every day, they also get a monthly transport allowance. The amount of the allowance depends on their grade in the service. For example, Junior Time Scale officers receive INR 3,200 per month, while officers in higher grades like Apex Scale receive INR 7,600 per month. This allowance helps them with the costs of transportation during the probation period.
