GPSC Class 1-2 Syllabus 2025

The Gujarat PSC officials have released GPSC Class 1-2 Syllabus on the official website. Candidates should cover all the exam-relevant topics mentioned in the syllabus as it will help them to score more than the GPSC Class 1-2 Cut-Off marks in the exam. Prelims Exam

The GPSC Class 1-2 Prelims exam comprises two subjects i.e. General Studies-1 and General Studies-2. We have shared the subject-wise syllabus below for the reference of the candidates.

GPSC Class 1-2 Exam Pattern 2025

The GPSC Class 1-2 Exam Pattern PDF can be downloaded from the official website of the commission. Understanding the exam pattern will provide insight into the exam format, number of sections, marking weightage, etc. The exam pattern for all the stages is shared below:

• The syllabus for General Studies is determined by the commission.
• The level of the Preliminary Exam will be of Graduation standard.
• The Preliminary Examination is only a screening test; its result will not be considered for final selection.
• Approximately 15 times the total advertised vacancies will be shortlisted provisionally for the Main Examination.
• The examination is conducted for 200 marks.
• The duration of the examination is 3 hours.

GPSC Class 1-2 Mains Exam Pattern

Below are the details of the GPSC Class 1-2 Exam Pattern for the Mains Examination.

• Gujarati and English Language Papers (Paper-1 & Paper-2) are only qualifying in nature; candidates must secure at least 25% marks in each.
• Only marks from Papers 3 to 7 will be considered for the Interview and Final Selection.
• The medium of Paper-1 will be Gujarati and Paper-2 will be English.
• Candidates must appear in all papers of the Main Examination.

Interview (150 Marks)

• Candidates who qualify for the Main Examination will be shortlisted at a ratio of approximately three times the number of vacancies for the Interview round.
• Attending the interview is mandatory.
• The decision of the Commission regarding the exam process and selection criteria will be final.

Candidates who have cleared all the GPSC Class 1-2 Eligibility conditions should be well prepared for the exam ahead. Here are a few useful tips to obtain favorable scores and secure a spot in the final selection list.
