Israel-Hamas Ceasefire Agreement

After an extremely intense war that began in October 2023, finally, a weak ceasefire was achieved between Israel and Hamas in January 2025. The hostilities had come to an end temporarily; hence, the war-torn region of Gaza received some much-needed relief.

Key Highlights of the Ceasefire Agreement

The major highlights of the Israel-Hamas Ceasefire agreement include:

  • Halt in Hostilities: Both Israel and Hamas agreed to cease all forms of aggression. This means rocket firing from Gaza as well as all military activities by Israel.
  • Humanitarian Supplies: It agreed to keep letting humanitarian supplies flow into Gaza so their most urgent needs including food and water, medical equipment would be answered.
  • Rebuilding Infrastructure Destroyed: The terms of the treaty allow rebuilding infrastructure that was destroyed during the war.
