UPPCS Exam will be conducted by the authority of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC).PCS selection of candidates is done through a three-stage exam similar to UPSC. The prelims exam is an objective test while Mains is conventional in nature, and lastly, an interview is followed. Thus, candidates need to have strategic planning to qualify for the upcoming exam.PCS is an administrative civil service under Group A of the Executive Branch of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
- The UPPCS Exam for Mains is expected to consist of 9 papers (Hindi, Essay, GS 1, GS 2, GS 3, GS 4, and Optional 1 and 2).
- The UPPCS Mains syllabus also tests candidates' overall language and subject-specific understanding of concepts through its 9 papers
- The total mark for the UPPCS Mains exam pattern is expected to be 1500.
- An essay or descriptive-type questions will be asked from the topics present in the UPPCS Mains syllabus.
- It is expected that candidates need to select only one among 29 optional subjects to appear for two papers.

UPPCS Public Administration Marking Scheme
Candidates should know the UPPCS Public Administration Marking scheme before starting the preparation for the examination, Through the marking scheme candidates become familiar with various details like total time duration, total papers, and lots more. Stage 1, i.e, the Prelims exam is an objective-based, multiple-choice question type exam.
- This is subdivided into two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, for which the information is given in the paragraph mentioned above.
- For paper 1, every correct answer will be given 1.33 marks.
- For paper 2, every correct answer will be given 2 marks.
- For every wrong answer, 0.33 marks will be deducted.

UPPSC Public Administration Exam Pattern
The Prelims Exam of UPPSC is just a qualifying tradition. For the main exam, all the papers are important and conducted in descriptive mode. Total of 8 eight papers out of two are optional. Check the exam pattern below:-
- There will be two optional papers- Public Administration.
- Paper 1 – Public Administration Paper- Administrative Theory
- Paper 2- Public Administration Paper – Indian Public Administration.
