Age Limit

The age limit for the post of Junior Technical Assistant is as follows:

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification for the post of TNPSC Junior Technical Assistant is as follows:

• Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification (i.e., must have passed SSLC or its equivalent)
• Must possess a Diploma in Handloom Technology obtained from the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Salem or Varanasi or from any other recognised Institute of Handloom Technology.
• OR
• Must possess a Diploma in Textile Manufacture obtained from the Technological Diploma Examination Board, Madras or the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu.

Knowledge in Tamil

The candidates should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil language. If they do not possess such knowledge, they have to pass a Tamil language test conducted by the Commission within two years from the date of appointment.

TNPSC Junior Technical Assistant Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for the TNPSC Junior Technical Assistant Recruitment 2023 is given below:

• The CBT written examination will be held in English language only.
• The questions will be of objective type with multiple choice answers.
• There will be negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.

The salary for the post of Junior Technical Assistant is Rs. 35,400-1,30,400/- (Level-11) as per the Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Rules, 2017. Apart from the basic pay, the candidates will also get other allowances and benefits as per the government norms.
