PUBDET Exam 2025 Application Form

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the Presidency University Bachelor's Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET) for admission to B.A. and B.Sc (Hons.)programmes offered at Presidency University, Kolkata. Only completed online applications will be considered. Application form was released on 28th March 2025 and the last date was 28th April 2025. 

• A candidate may apply for a maximum of 2(two) subjects. Reservation policy will be followed as per Govt. rule. 
• The admission for PUBDET 2025 in bachelor degree courses for different categories will be based strictly on merit. The General Merit List (GMR) will be prepared based on the academic score 
• PUBDET comprises separate entrance exams that are conducted to offer admission to aspirants in different science and humanities programmes offered at Presidency University at the undergraduate level.

PUBDET 2025 Application Fee

The application fee for UG courses 2025 according to the official notification is INR 500 for first paper, INR 250 for each additional paper. PwD candidates are eligible for a 40% concession on the application fee.

How to Apply for PUBDET 2025?

The application has to be made Online only through the University website. Candidates need to have a working mobile number and an email ID. All future communications by the University (if any) will be sent to this mobile number and the email ID only. Follow the given procedures to apply for PUBDET 2025:

Registration

Candidates must be careful while entering registration details. It cannot be changed/edited/modified under any circumstances. Check the process given-below:

Step 1. Visit the official website at https://wbjeeb.in/pubdet.

Step 2. The candidate will enter registration details such as, name, father’s name, mother’s maiden name, date of birth, gender and (10+2)th registration number/ Index Number. 

Step 3. Candidates will enter contact details such as, address, state, district, PIN code, email ID, mobile number and contact numbers. 

Step 4. Then the candidate has to choose a password for the system. The email-id and password entered by the candidate will be his/her login credential for this system.

Step 5. A candidate can login into the system if he/she could not complete the steps of the application procedure or to view the submitted application form in future. 

Educational Information

At this stage the candidate needs to fill up various educational information such as, total marks obtained in 10th level, marks obtained in different subjects of 10th level and (10+2)th level. Enter marks only for the subjects which you have studied in 10th level or (10+2)th level. Do not furnish any marks/values for other subjects. For the combined subjects, calculate the average of the subjects and put the marks out of 100. 

Application Form

The candidates should fill the information carefully and follow the given process:

Step 1. Select your subjects and apply. 

Step 2. An Acknowledgement page will be generated and your application process will be completed successfully. Once applied, data cannot be modified or updated under any circumstances.

Step 3.Take print-outs of the Acknowledgement page and other pages of application (Personal information and Educational information) for future references

PUBDET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the 2025 PUBDET. Candidates are only eligible to apply if he/she meets the criteria met. There is no mention of the minimum number of criteria in the official notification. The eligibility criteria for PUBDET 2025 are as follows:

Age Criteria 

There is no upper or lower age limit mentioned in the official notification.

Nationality

The candidates who are citizens of India are eligible to apply for this entrance exam. They must have proof of the same. Candidates who are faking their nationality or don't provide their nationality will be eliminated with strict actions. There will be a proper authenticity check for the documents related to nationality, such as Aadhar Card, Passport, UID, PAN Card, etc.

Educational Applications

Check the required educational qualifications before filling out the form:

• Candidates must have passed (not before 2025) in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 system) conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or any equivalent examination from a recognised board/council.
•  Candidates must pass any of the aforementioned examinations, with at least five recognized subjects (full marks of each not less than 100), including English language and excluding compulsory Environmental Science. The Aggregate Marks is to be calculated considering scores in the best four recognized subjects. 
•  Candidates with International ‘A’ level or International Baccalaureate qualifications must have at least three subjects at the IGCSE level and three subjects at the ‘A’ level, with English in either of the two levels. 
•  The candidate must secure a minimum aggregate score in percentage as per the following table in his/her qualifying examination in (10+2) th standard.

Important Documents Required to Fill the Form for the PUBDET 2025

The candidates should keep the following documents beforehand. Given below are the list of some important documents that are required at the time of filling PUBDET application form:

• Marksheet of last qualification exam 
• Copy of Board's certificate to verify the candidate's name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, and Date of Birth (DOB).
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• PwD Certificate
• Aadhaar Card
• Valid Id proof (Bank details/Voter Id/Passport/Ration card/PAN card or any Government Id)
• Scanned Photograph and Signature
• EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificate if belong to that category
