OFDC Field Assistant Selection Process 2023

The candidates will first have to appear for a computer-based recruitment test. Successful candidates equal to 3 times the vacancies shall be declared qualified for the Medical and Physical/ Endurance tests. Hence the selection process of the OFDC Field Assistant Recruitment 2023 involves two stages namely:

2. Physical/Endurance Test

OFDC Field Assistant Exam Pattern 2023

OFDC Field Assistant Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT)

• The standard of this exam shall be equivalent to that of the HSC standard.
• The duration of the exam shall be 2 hours.
• The total worth of the exam shall be 200 marks.

OFDC Field Assistant Physical /Endurance Test

The test shall consist of a walking test. The qualifying parameters are as follows:

• Males: 25 km in 4 hours
• Females: 16 km in 4 hours

OFDC Field Assistant Salary 2023

Appointment to the post of OFDC Field Assistant shall be initially made on a contractual basis with a consolidated remuneration as given below:

*NOTE: The monthly remuneration shall be enhanced by 10% percent on completion of each year of service subjected to satisfactory performance.

On completion of six years of contractual service, candidates will be appointed on a regular basis. They shall then be entitled to draw the time scale of the post along with other allowances as admissible in the corresponding pay band.

Allowances: They shall not be entitled to following allowances besides the basic pay.

• Dearness Allowance (DA)
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) 
• Medical Allowance
• Travelling Allowance (TA) /Daily Allowance (DA) for performing journey/ tour applicable to the Grade/ Rank they are appointed.
• Other such allowances as per the OFDC norms from time to time.

Leave, Conduct, Discipline and other service conditions shall be regulated by the Service Rules of the OFDC which is in force and as amended from time to time.

Probation: All appointed candidates after joining in the Corporation shall be on probation for a minimum of two years from the date of joining which may be extended or curtailed by the Appointment Authority.

Training: The finally selected candidates have to undergo designated training in forestry for which the candidates will be required to submit Agreement and Surety Bond. The bond value will be decided by the Managing Director depending upon the cost involved in the training. The cost of the training which includes Tuition fee, equipment allowances and Tour expenses will be borne by OFDC. Expenses for Bedding, Clothing, Caution money and other deposits like mess advances have to be borne by the candidates. The candidate will be granted stipend/ salary from time to time during the training as the case may be.

Posting: Posting of selected candidates shall be made in any of the offices/ units of OFDC

Ltd., situated in and around the State of Odisha and at the discretion of the Corporation.
