NIELIT Scientific Assistant Exam Pattern 2025
The NIELIT Scientific Assistant examination is patterned in a systematic way to assess applicants on their technical skills and general aptitude. The exam takes place in an OMR-based question paper with multiple-choice questions. Applicants need to obtain the qualifying marks in the two sections separately as well as combined. The pattern of the examination is as under:
- The test is objective-based and offline and the duration of the test is 3 hours.
- There are 120 questions of multiple-choice type, one mark will be awarded to each question and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- The test has two sections, that is, Technical Area and Generic Area. The Technical Area is worth 65%, while the Generic Area is worth 35% of the total marks.
