• General candidates: Rs 600/-
• Ex-Servicemen: Rs 50/-
• SC, ST, PWD candidates: Exempted

KPSC Staff Nurse 2021 Selection Process

The selection process for the KPSC Staff Nurse recruitment is divided into two stages - the written round and the document verification.

Written Round

1. The written round comprises 300 objective-type questions. There are three sets of papers, each comprising 100 questions. The medium of question paper would be in English and Kannada. The total duration of each paper is two hours, and the total marks are 200 for each paper. They conduct the exam offline through OMR answer sheets. All the answers should be marked on that sheet only. Each question would have four options. The candidate has to choose from those.
2. Each correct answer carries two marks. Every wrong answer would be penalized with a deduction of 1/4th of the mark which has been assigned for the question for the first set of the question paper. The second set of papers comprises 100 questions, and each correct answer carries two marks, and there are no negative marks in it. The candidate has to check that the question paper version code which would be mentioned on the question paper is the same as the version code mentioned on the OMR sheet.
3. The candidate has to clear a language examination along with the above-mentioned papers.
4. If there is any discrepancy in it, the candidate has to inform the supervisor. Using illegal support during the exam is prohibited and if caught, would be treated as a criminal offense according to KPSC official notification.
5. They would announce the detailed notification for the exam date on their official website soon.

Document Verification

Once the candidate is through with the written round, KPSC would announce the results of the selected candidates on their official website. These candidates will be called for document verification by the commission before joining the post of Staff Nurse with the state. The candidates are required to present the original and true copies of the documents submitted at the time of the online application process. failing to do so might result in termination. 

KPSC Staff Nurse 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The KPSC Staff Nurse recruitment exam has certain eligibility criteria that is set by the commission. The candidate is bound to fulfill it to appear for the written exam. If there are any inconsistencies in the criteria, KPSC holds the right to reject the candidate’s application form. The criteria are Age, Educational qualification, Nationality, and certificate of registration.

KPSC Staff Nurse Age Limit

• The candidate should be in between 18-35 years of age. The commission provides certain relaxation for the reserved candidates.

• For 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B candidates, the age of relaxation is 3 years; for SC/ST candidates, it is 5 years; for PWD candidates, it is 10 years.

 All the candidates should be able to provide a government recognised document for verification of age. The reserved candidates have to produce an additional cast certificate if they fall under the age relaxation category.

KPSC Staff Nurse Educational Qualification

The next criteria for the KPSC Staff nurse recruitment is the educational qualification. The details of it are:-

• The candidate should have cleared the PUC (Pre-University Course) exam in Science.
• The candidate should have cleared a diploma in Nursery from a recognized university.
• The candidate should have cleared B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized university. 

If the candidate cannot qualify for the above educational qualification, KPSC would reject the application form of the candidate. The candidate has to clear PUC and has to clear a diploma or B.Sc. in Nursing to qualify for the exam. The original documents should be available for document verification. The documents should be uploaded during the application filling process. According to the official notification, submission of false documents and providing wrong marks is a criminal offense and would lead to a criminal offense.

KPSC Staff Nurse Nationality

As per KPSC, all the candidates should be of Indian Nationality. The candidates should be able to provide a government-recognized ID proof stating their Indian Nationality. Any candidate who is not able to provide or is not a national of India, would not be allowed to appear for the exam.

 The candidate should also belong to the Karnataka domicile, to qualify to appear for the KPSC Staff Nurse Recruitment exam. If they do not fulfill these criteria, the application form would be rejected.

Certificate of Registration for KPSC Staff Nurse

This is an important criterion for KPSC Staff nurse recruitment. Every candidate who wants to apply for the KPSC Staff nurse position has to get themselves registered with the Karnataka State Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing council.
