The IIT JAM College List includes all the colleges that accept the IIT Joint Admission Test, conducted jointly by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISC). Indian Institute of Technology

The Indian Institutes of Technology are institutes of National Importance that come under the central government. There are around 23 IITs around the country. The first IIT was established in 1958. All the 23 IITs that are present now have been developed through time and are considered Public Technical Institutes. In the IIT JAM College List 2024, there are 21 IITs. These IITs accept the scores for different MSc programmes conducted by them. IISc Bangalore

The IISc Bangalore was set up on 27 May 1909. The institute provides world-class education with enough exposure to students through various research programmes, innovative learning programmes etc. The institute accepts the IIT JAM scores for certain courses offered there. The candidates who wish to join these courses in the institute should also register separately on the institute’s website.

As per the IIT JAM College List 2024, certain other institutes also use the IIT JAM scores for their admission. The candidates who wish to join these institutes should register themselves on the institute’s official website along with their IIT JAM scores. Candidates can view all details about the courses offered by these institutes, seat intake, etc. on their official websites. The institutes which use the IIT JAM scores are as follows.

What Before and After the IIT JAM Entrance Examination?

The candidates who wish to join the courses and the institutes listed in the IIT JAM College List have to appear for the IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters. The candidates have to first go through all the information about the exam provided on the IIT JAM Official Website and make sure that they are eligible to apply for the exam.

After the examination, the scores of each candidate will be released on the official website. Candidates can check their scores by logging in to their admission profile on the official website. The IIT JAM Official Website will eventually release the merit list according to the scores acquired by the candidates. The candidates who are present on the merit list should apply for admission once again on the official website of IIT JAM. 

The candidates will be sent an offer letter according to the admission list by the respective institute. Candidates can either accept the offer, accept and upgrade the offer to wait for further upgrades as per their preferences, or reject the offer by completely backing out from the admission process. The candidates who have accepted the offer have to visit the respective institute with the offer letter along with the required documents for the IIT JAM counselling process. With the successful completion of the counselling process, the candidates can confirm their seats.
