The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) is located in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati to integrate and encourage interdisciplinary science education and research. IISER provides BS and BS-MS Dual Degree Programs for Science Students, which are five-year dual degree programmes. The key highlights are:

• Admission to BS-MS degree programmes is handled through three channels: the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), the JEE Advanced, and the State and Central Boards (SCB).
• Candidates applying through the KVPY method must have a valid 10+2 score.
• To apply through the JEE Advanced channel, you must have a valid JEE Advanced rank.
• Selection through the SCB route is based on the IISER Admission Test (IAT) administered by the institute.
• There is a certain set of eligibility criteria for IISER that should be met by the candidates to be eligible for the IISER Admission Test (IAT) exam.

IISER Syllabus 2025

The IISER Aptitude Test - 2025 (IAT-2025) is a 3-hour computer-based test that covers subjects, such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The IISER exam is held tentatively in roughly 150 cities/towns across India. Candidates who follow the IISER syllabus will have a better understanding of how the test will be conducted.
