The HSSC Municipal Engineer Selection Process notification has been released by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). The HSSC Municipal Engineer Selection Process is carried out in 3 stages: Written Examination, Socio-Economic Criteria & Experience, and Document Verification. Candidates will be selected by the commission as per their performances in the written examination. There are a total of 44 vacancies expected under this HSSC Municipal Engineer Recruitment this year, therefore candidates have to qualify each HSSC Municipal Engineer Exam Selection round to be recruited. Candidates clearing all the stages of the exam will be finally appointed as an Municipal Engineer under HSSC.
- All the candidates must know the HSSC Municipal Engineer Selection Process thoroughly before applying for the desired position so that they can prepare themselves accordingly.
- The first stage is the Computer-Based Written Test (CBT) which will be an objective-based exam. The exam will be held for a total of 100 marks.

HSSC Municipal Engineer Recruitment Selection Process 2023
The HSSC Municipal Engineer Selection process 2023 consists of three stages. The details of each stage are given below:
- Written Test: The written exam is an OMR based examination held for the recruitment of Group- C posts at centers decided by the commission. The exam consists of 100 questions with a weightage of 0.975 marks for each question. The candidate has to fill one option compulsory out of five options given. Extra minutes shall be given to mark the fifth option, if the candidate does not know the answer. The duration of the exam will be (100+5) = 105 minutes. In case of an unattempted answer, 0.975 marks shall be deducted.
- Socio-Economic Criteria & Experience: 2.5% weightage for socio-economic criteria shall be provided to eligible candidates who have claimed the same in the application form on fulfilling various socio-economic criteria.
- Document Verification: The next stage of the selection process is Document Verification. Document Verification is conducted to assess all the original documents produced by the candidate during the verification process.

HSSC Municipal Engineer Selection Process 2023 – Written Test
The first stage of the HSSC Municipal Engineer Selection Process is the written test, which is an objective type exam. The exam pattern followed in the HSSC Municipal Engineer written test is given in the table below. There is no criterion for negative marking in the written test.
- All questions shall be compulsory
- An OMR based exam will be held
- There shall be no negative marking
- Each question shall carry 0.975 marks
- The candidate has to fill one option compulsory out of five options given. Extra minutes shall be given to mark the fifth option, if the candidate does not know the answer.

This is the second stage of the HSSC Municipal Engineer selection process. Candidates who qualify for the written test are called for Document Verification.
