The Haryana Public Service Commission has released the HPSC TO and ATO Eligibility Criteria 2023 and the notification on its official website. Candidates applying for this post need to fulfil the required eligibility criteria to get selected for the exam. To be eligible for the HPSC TO and ATO exam 2023, a candidate must fulfill certain eligibility criteria required by the commission. The minimum age requirement for the exam is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 42 years. Candidates who will not be able to fulfil even one of the eligibility criteria will not be permitted to appear for the exam, and their candidature will be cancelled.
- The HPSC TO and ATO exam consists of a written test followed by an interview round.
- The eligibility of the candidate with regard to age, educational qualifications, experience etc. shall be determined on the closing date fixed for submission of online application forms.
- The certificates issued after the closing date will not be accepted by the Commission.

HPSC TO and ATO Eligiblity Criteria 2023
Candidates applying for HPSC TO and ATO post should be aware of the following eligibility criteria required and fulfil appear for the exam and interview round.
Age Limit
Candidates applying for the HPSC TO and ATO Recruitment 2023 should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years of age. The upper age limit for an applicant any category (except Ex servicemen) shall not exceed 52 years who is entitled to avail the benefit of relaxation in age of one or more of the categories mentioned below.
Age Relaxation
Relaxation in the maximum age to the candidates belonging to the SC/BC-A/BC-B/EWS & ESM categories candidates of Haryana shall be admissible only where the posts are reseryed for these categories. The relaxation in maximum age for different categories is available as:

Note: For appointment of an exserviceman to a post of Group A & B, his age will becalculated keeping in view the actual age minus (actual period of military service plus upto three years of break, if any, between military and civil service). If the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit, including the number of years of any other relaxation of age admissible to him, prescribed for the post for which he is seeking appointment, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit. In case of HCS (Jd.Br.) Examination, the maximum age relaxation is subject to a five years in addition to the provisions made above at (a)& (b). (this is for HCS (Jd.Br.) |
| 9. | Persons who have already worked or presently working on adhoc/contract/work-charged/ daily wages basis in any Department / Board /Corporation of Haryana Govemment including Government-aided Institutions under Haryana Govemment. | Relaxation in age equal to the number of completed years only on equivalent post on adhoc/ contract/workcharged/ daily wages basis excluding the period of break,if any, including any other age relaxation admissible, if any,subject to maximum age of 52 years and also subject to the condition that if once a person has been appointed on regular basis in any Department /Board / Corporation etc. of Haryana Government with the benefit of relaxation in age he will not be entitled to avail the same again for any subsequent appointment. Note:The experience certificate of equivalent post issued the Appointing Authority respective Department department / Board(S)by of Corporation / Govemmentaided Institution only shall be valid. |
- Some candidates having OBC certificate are directed to submit BC-A /BC-B certificate as per instructions detailed above.
- The BC-A/BC-B/EWS certificate should be issued as per latest government instructions dated 25.02.2019, 17 .l 1.2021 & 22.03.2022 and as modified from time to time. Moreover, the certificate should have been issued in the same financial year in which the announcement has been made.
- Such certificates should have been issued prior to the closing date for submission of online application form.
Education Qualification
Candidates applying for HPSC TO and ATO post should fulfil the educational criteria required by the commission. One should have a bachelor degree or its equivalent of a recognized university. Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto matric standard or higher education.
Nationality
Candidates applying for HPSC TO and ATO post should be:
- Indian
- A subject of Nepal,or
- A subject of Bhutan,or
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before I'tlanuary, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the aim of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e)shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him/her by the Government of India.
