The Kyoto Protocol is related to international efforts to address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The Montreal Protocol (1987) aims to protect the ozone layer by phasing out substances that deplete it. The Kyoto Protocol (1997) focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate climate change.

The Kyoto Protocol is an international treaty that sets binding targets for industrialized countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change.

The six greenhouse gases mentioned in the Kyoto Protocol are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6).

The Kyoto Protocol was initiated under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and was adopted in Kyoto, Japan, in 1997.

The three mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol are Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Joint Implementation (JI), and Emissions Trading (ET). These mechanisms facilitate emission reductions and promote sustainable development.

The Kyoto Protocol primarily focused on binding emission reduction targets for developed countries. The Paris Agreement (2015) involves voluntary contributions from all countries to combat climate change. It has an emphasis on limiting global temperature rise and promoting adaptation and finance for developing nations.
