• The minimum HSSC Staff Nurse age limit is 18 years. This means that the candidate should be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for the recruitment process.
•  The maximum age limit is 42 years. Although, the upper age limit varies as per categories due to the certain age relaxations given by the commission. They are: 
• General candidates- 42 years
• SC/ST, BC (A & B) Candidates- 45 years.
• PWD Candidates- 52 years (General) and 57 years (SC/ST)
• Ex-servicemen- 48 years
• Widow/Legally separated/Divorcee/Deserted women/Unmarried women- 47 years

HSSC Staff Nurse Eligibility 2020 - Educational Qualification

 The candidate has to fulfill these minimum educational qualifications for HSSC Staff Nurse eligibility:

1. B.Sc (Hons) in Nursing or B.SC (Post Basic) in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing with midwife training from any affiliated university. OR Diploma in General Nursing with Midwife Training from a recognized university.
2. A division midwife training, which should be registered under Haryana Nurses Registration Council.
3. Hindi/Sanskrit as a mandatory subject during matriculation or higher studies.

HSSC Staff Nurse Eligibility 2020 - Experience

For a candidate to meet the HSSC staff nurse eligibility, he/she has to have experience in the field. Extra marks are awarded for work experience. So, if a candidate has work experience, it would be beneficial.

There is a provision of awarding a maximum of 8 marks under the socio-economic criteria of the exam pattern. With at least 6 months of experience, the candidate gets awarded 0.5 marks for every year of experience.
