HSSC Staff Nurse Selection Process 2023

The Haryana SSC Staff Nurse Recruitment exam pattern is based on the following selection process:

Written Exam

The total marks in this exam are 100, out of which 90 marks are allocated to the written round and the rest 10 marks are allocated to Socio-Economic criteria and Experience. The details regarding negative marking have not been announced by the HSSC exam conducting body.

The written round will be objective and will be conducted in offline mode, which will cover various topics to check the skills of the candidate.

• 75% weightage will be given to general awareness, maths, computer, science, reasoning, English, Hindi, and all the subjects related to nursing.
• 25% weightage will be given to History, Civics, Literature, Current affairs, Geography, Environment and Culture of Haryana.

• B.Sc (Hons) in Nursing or B.SC (Post Basic) in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing with midwife training from any affiliated university.
• A division midwife training, which should be registered under Haryana Nurses Registration Council.
• Hindi/Sanskrit as a mandatory subject during matriculation or higher studies.

Nationality 

For a candidate to qualify for the HSSC staff nurse eligibility, they have to be an Indian national. The candidate should have a Haryana domicile to be eligible for this job.

Experience

HSSC Staff Nurse Exam Pattern

The HSSC Staff nurse exam pattern has two parts which a candidate needs to clear to get the job of staff nurse i.e. written exam has 90 marks, whereas socio-economic criteria has 10 marks.

Written Round:

1. Total Marks- 90 
2. Total questions- 90
3. Mode of Exam- Objective
4. Exam Weightage- 75% weightage will be given to General Awareness, Maths, Computers, Science, Reasoning, English, Hindi and subjects related to Nursing. The rest 25% will be given to History, Civics, Current Affairs, Geography, Environment and the Culture of Haryana
5. No negative marks for the wrong answers

Socio-Economic Criteria

• If neither the applicant nor their family members are, was, or has been a regular employee in any department/board/company/statutory body/corporation/commission/Authority of Government of Haryana, then that candidate will be awarded 5 marks.
• If the candidate fulfils any of the below criteria, they will be awarded five marks.
•  A widow; or
• the first, or the second child, and their father had died before the candidate had reached the maximum age of forty-two or
• the first, or the second child and his father had died before the candidate had reached the minimum age of fifteen.
• If the candidate belongs to a specific Denotified tribe like ‘Tapriwas Jatis’ or ‘Vimukt Jatis’ or the nomadic tribe belonging to Haryana which come under SC/ST category will be awarded 5 marks.
• ½ marks will be awarded for each year of service after exceeding the initial six months of joining for the maximum service of sixteen years on the same or higher post in any department/board/company/statutory body/corporation/commission/Authority of Government of Haryana.
• They can award a maximum of 8 marks in this segment.
