The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has released Phase II admit card for FCI Grade 3. The Phase II exam is scheduled to be held on 5th March 2023. Candidates can download the admit card from the direct link provided below.

FCI Assistant Grade III Vacancy 2024 (Expected)

FCI Assistant Grade III Recruitment Vacancy details will be mentioned in the official notification. The number of vacancies available varies for different Zones. Food Corporation of India has released a zone-wise list for FCI Assistant Grade III Recruitment Vacancy. How to Apply Online for FCI Assistant Grade III 2024?

Candidates should keep the scanned copies of their photograph and signature ready before starting the application process. It is also suggested to keep the debit card, credit card or net-banking details also ready if online payment for application fee has been made. Following are the steps that candidates must follow to complete their online application for FCI Assistant Grade III Recruitment: -

Step 1: Visit the official website.

Step 2: On the homepage, go to the  ‘Current Recruitment section.

Step 3:Click the link to apply for  ‘FCI Category III Recruitment’.

Step 4: After that, on a new page, click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.

Step 5: You will be navigated to another page where you can see the link ‘Click here for new registration’, click on this link and fill in all the details that are asked. Once all the details are added, click on the ‘submit’ option.

Step 6: Now, log in and fill the application form. Fill in all the details carefully.

Step 7: Upload the required documents. You may use the Testbook Resize Tool to upload these documents.

Step 8: Check the details and submit the application form.

Candidates are advised to get the printouts of both e-receipt and online application form for future reference.

During the document verification, candidates may be asked to show the following documents, so these documents should be kept ready.

1. Reserved Category Certificate (in the format issued by FCI)
2. No Objection Certificate (NOC) 
3. Certificate of Disability
4. Income and Asset Certificate for EWS.
5. Certificate as proof of age relaxation claim. 
6. Proof of Date of Birth: Certificate of Matriculation/Higher Secondary.
7. Proof of Relevant Degree. 
8. Certificate for serving Defence personnel
9. Certificate regarding Physical Limitation for an examinee to write

FCI Assistant Grade III Application Fee (Expected)

• The application fee of Rs.500 (excluding bank charges but including GST) has to be submitted along with the online application form by all candidates (other than those who are exempted from fee payment). 
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/ EX-servicemen/Women and serving defence personnel are exempted from the payment of application fee.

FCI Assistant Grade III Selection Process

FCI Assistant Grade III Recruitment selection process is detailed in the official notification as well. Candidates will first have to appear for the Phase 1 online test, which is of qualifying nature. The selected candidates should then appear for the Phase 2 exam which in turn comprises Paper I, and II. Finally, the candidates who qualify the Phase 2 exam will have to undergo the process of document verification, before their selection is finalized. 

The merit list is prepared on the basis of marks scored in Paper I of Phase 2 for Assistant Grade III (General and Depot) while merit list will be made on the basis of the combined marks scored in both the papers of Phase 2 for the Assistant Grade III (Accounts, Hindi and Technical).

Online Exam

The online exam for FCI Assistant Grade III Recruitment is conducted in two phases: Phase 1 and Phase 2. It is mandatory for the candidates to qualify the Phase 1 exam in order to be eligible to appear for the Phase 2 exam. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks scored in Phase 2 only. Phase 2 is further divided into two papers: Paper I and Paper II.

Document Verification

After the declaration of the final result, candidates, three times the number of available vacancies, will be called for document verification. After the document verification candidates shall be appointed as Assistant Grade III under FCI.

FCI Assistant Grade III Age Limit (As on 1st August 2024)

Maximum - 27 years

For Assistant Manager (Hindi), the maximum age limit is 28 years.

According to the official notification released by the Food Corporation of India, there are certain relaxations in the upper age limit for certain categories. The table below details the relaxed upper age limit for candidates from the reserved categories.

The reservation benefits under the category ‘Ex-Servicemen’ shall not be extended to the daughters, sons and dependents of the Ex-servicemen.

FCI Assistant Grade III Educational Qualification

The Educational Qualification to be eligible for various posts under Assistant Grade III varies with the job profiles. Candidates are advised to check the educational qualification thoroughly to avoid any rejection in further stages of the exam.

Nationality

• A candidate must be a Citizen of India/ Nepal or Bhutan
• A Tibetan refugee who has settled in India before 1st January 1962 
• Citizens of Indian origin who have migrated from selected countries (mentioned in the official notification) but are now settled permanently in India.

FCI Assistant Grade III Exam Pattern 2024

FCI Assistant Grade III Recruitment Exam 2024 is conducted in two phases, i.e. Phase 1 and Phase 2. Both the exams are conducted online and feature objective-type multiple-choice questions. As the online exam conducted in Phase 1 is a qualifying exam, the marks scored shall not be counted while preparing the final merit list. The marks scored in the Phase 2 exams will be used to prepare the final merit list. Candidates should understand the exam pattern thoroughly to help with their exam preparations. 

FCI Assistant Grade III Exam Pattern for Online Exam 

FCI Assistant Grade III Exam is divided into two phases: Phase 1 and Phase 2. The detailed description of both the phases is mentioned below.

Phase 1

The online test is the common entrance test for all the candidates irrespective of the different profiles under Assistant Grade–III. The online test is conducted in both Hindi and English languages except the English Language paper.

• The online test accounts for 100 marks. Each question carries 1 mark, and there will be a negative marking of 1/4th to every wrong answer.
• The duration of the examination is 1 hour. So, candidates have to complete each paper within 15 minutes. 
• The marks obtained in Phase 1 shall not be considered while preparing the final merit list.

Phase 2

Only those candidates who qualify the Phase 1 Exam will be eligible to appear for the Phase 2 exam. The maximum number of candidates to be shortlisted for Phase 2 exam is 15 times the number of available vacancies. The examination pattern for Phase 2 is slightly different for various profiles under Assistant Grade-III.

• The examination pattern for the posts Assistant Grade–III General and Depot is similar while the pattern varies slightly for the post of Assistant Grade – III Accounts, Hindi and Technical. 

1. For Assistant Grade-III General and Depot; there shall be only one paper (Paper-I) in Phase- II.
2. While for Assistant Grade- III Accounts, Hindi and Technical, two papers will be conducted, i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper II is slightly different while the pattern of Paper-I shall be similar in all the five posts under Assistant Grade- III Recruitment 2024.

PAPER-I

• Paper-I is similar for all five posts under Assistant Grade – III. 
• Questions will be asked on certain topics like the English language, general awareness, current events, data interpretation and general aptitude.

PAPER-II

Candidates who are applying for the postcode E, F and H, i.e. Assistant Grade-III (Accounts) and Assistant Grade-III (Technical) and Assistant Grade III (Hindi) respectively, have to appear in Paper-II along with Paper-I.

• Both the papers in Phase 2 will be conducted on a single day. 
• Paper-II is post-specific, so the questions are asked to test the knowledge of the candidates in their respective fields.
• There will be 60 MCQs, each carrying 2 marks.

1. Questions on Commerce particularly on Accounting and Finance (Post Code E)
2. Questions on Agriculture, Botany, Zoology (Group A) (Post Code F), Questions on Agriculture, Physics, Chemistry (Group B) 
3. GK related to Hindi literature (4 Questions), Words/ Sentences for Hindi to English Translation (20 Questions), Words/ Sentences for English to Hindi Translation (20 Questions), Official language Policy (4 Questions), Official Language Act (4 Questions), Official Language Rules (4 Questions), Annual Programme issued by dept. of the official language (4 Questions)
