Madhya Pradesh has announced a new 258.64 sq km wildlife sanctuary named Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Abhyaran in Sagar district’s Banda and Shahgarh forest areas.
Launched ahead of Ambedkar’s 134th birth anniversary, the sanctuary becomes the state’s 25th.
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted that it will boost local tourism, strengthen ecosystems, and create employment for communities around the sanctuary.
