The AP DSC PGT Notification 2025 has been released. A total of 286 vacancies have been announced. The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department recruits Post Graduate Teachers for various subjects in schools across the state. This is a great opportunity for teaching job aspirants. • The age of the candidates must be between 18 - 44 years to attend the recruitment. However, age relaxation is applicable for the reserved category candidates.

How to Apply for AP PGT Recruitment 2025?

The applications for AP PGT Recruitment must be submitted online. The steps for the same are given below:

Step 1: Visit the AP DSC website. Click the link to apply for AP PGT Recruitment.

Step 2: Fill in the registration form with name, date of birth, category, gender etc and pay the required fees.

Step 3: A Candidate ID will be sent to your email id/mobile number. 

Step 4: Login with Candidate ID and Date of Birth and fill in the application form with personal details, educational details etc.

Step 5: Attach the required documents and upload the recent passport size photograph and signature.

Step 6: Verify the details and click on the submit button.

Step 7: Download and take a printout of the application form for future reference.

AP PGT Application Fee

The candidates must pay an application fee of INR 750 online mode.

The selection for the AP DSC PGT will be based on the following stages:

• Written Test (CBT)
• Document Verification.

AP PGT Eligibility Criteria 2025

AP PGT Age Limit 

The AP PGT age limit  for the applicants is as follows:

• SC / ST / BC: 18 - 49 years
• PWD candidates: 18 - 54 years
• Others: 18 - 44 years.

AP PGT Educational Qualification

The candidates must have the following qualifications to be eligible for the AP PGT Recruitment:

• Two-year integrated Post Graduate Course from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT or Master's Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• B.Ed in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE (or) equivalent degree with Methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.

AP PGT Exam Pattern 2025

The AP PGT Exam Pattern consists of 2 Papers - Paper I is English Language Proficiency Test and Paper II is Teacher Recruitment Test. Check the Paper-wise AP PGT exam pattern details below.

Paper I

• The Paper I is conducted for 100 marks.
• A total number of 100 questions are asked.
• The duration of the examination is 1 Hour 30 Minutes.

Paper II

• A total of 200 questions are asked.
• The examination is conducted for 100 marks.
• The duration of the examination is 3 hours.

AP PGT Salary Details 

The annual AP PGT Salary package on average is expected to be around Rs. 3.70 Lakhs to Rs. 10.19 lakhs. The selected candidates will also be eligible for additional allowances and incentives once the probation period is over.
