The RRB NTPC Exam will be conducted in two stages of Computer Based Tests -- CBT 1 and CBT 2. RRB NTPC 2025 Exam Pattern
As per the official RRB NTPC Exam Pattern, candidates must undergo 4 stages of the selection process, 1st Stage CBT examination, 2nd Stage CBT Examination, Computer-Based Aptitude Test/Typing Test, and Document Verification. In the CBTs, questions will be asked about subjects like General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The Typing Test is applicable only for posts like Senior Clerk Cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist and Accounts Clerk cum Typist. - The RRB NTPC exam will consist of objective-type MCQ questions.
- A total of 100 questions are asked for 100 marks in CBT 1, while a total of 120 questions are asked for 120 marks in CBT 2.
- The exam duration will be 90 minutes for both CBT 1 and 2.
- There shall be a negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect answer in both CBT 1 and CBT 2.
- Candidates shortlisted in CBT 1 and CBT 2 will be called to appear for the CBAT or Typing Skill Test depending on the post that they have applied for.

The RRB NTPC Syllabus 2025 is divided into two major stages—CBT 1 and CBT 2. The CBT 1 exam is the first stage of the RRB NTPC exam, featuring 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions.
