As per the official guidelines, the age limit is clearly defined and must be strictly followed by all applicants. The minimum age required to apply for SSC CHSL posts is 18 years. However, there is also a maximum age limit, which is 27 years for most of the posts. This means that candidates must not be younger than 18 years or older than 27 years as of the cut-off date mentioned in the official notification.

As per the SSC CHSL Eligibility, candidates belonging to the reserved categories are allowed certain relaxations in the upper age limit. Details of the same are presented below.

The SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria for Nationality for the various posts of recruitment is defined in the official notification. Candidates must be a citizen of India. There is further clarification given in the notification regarding sub-categories falling under nationality.

Persons with benchmark disabilities shall be allowed compensatory time @ 20 minutes per hour of exam. The facility of scribe will also be provided to such candidates, subject to certain conditions. Also, use of assistive devices like talking calculator, scribe etc. can be allowed depending on the nature of disability.

Candidates applying for SSC CHSL 2025 should note that certain actions could lead to disqualification, debarment or legal action. Any individual involved in using unfair means or impersonation during the exam will not be considered for selection. If any documents or certificates provided are found to be fake or forged, the candidate's candidature will be canceled. Similarly, any candidate working in government service who has been terminated due to reasons of indiscipline or integrity will be declared ineligible for this recruitment cycle. Legal action as deemed fit can also be initiated against those indulging in or abetting malpractices. Candidates who have been debarred by UPSC or SSC in past recruitment processes will also not be entertained.
