The correct answer is option 2):(50V)

Concept:

According to ohms law

V = IR

where

V is the voltage

I is the current

Ris the resistance

When two resistors are connected in series

The total resistor will be

RT = R1 + R2

Where the current I  is the same in the series connection

Calculation:

The given circuit is

F7 Vinanti Engineering 15.12.22 D2

The total resistance

RT = 4 + 6

= 10 Ω

The voltage drop across the 4 Ω  resistor is

V = 20

I = \(20 \over 4\)

= 5

Then

E = R× I

= 10 × 5

= 50 V
