शुष्क सतहों के लिए प्रतिबंधक घर्षण का नियम:
- जब दो निकाय संपर्क में होते हैं, तो उनमें से एक पर घर्षण के बल की दिशा उस दिशा के विपरीत होती है जिस दिशा में इस निकाय के गति करने की प्रवृत्ति होती है।
- घर्षण बल सतहों के संपर्क के क्षेत्र से स्वतंत्र होती है।
- जब एक निकाय दूसरे निकाय के ठीक फिसलन बिंदु पर होती है, तो अधिकम घर्षण बल को लागू किया जाता है, इसे प्रतिबंधक घर्षण कहा जाता है।
- घर्षण बल संपर्क में दो निकायों के पदार्थ पर आश्रित होती है।
- प्रतिबंधक घर्षण बल संपर्क में निकायों के बीच कार्य करने वाले सामान्य बल के समानुपाती होती है।
- घर्षण बल और सामान्य प्रतिक्रिया का अनुपात स्थिर होता है और इसे घर्षण के गुणांक अर्थात् μ = F/N के रूप में जाना जाता है।
