Concept: 

Current division rule:

When 'n' resistors are connected in parallel across a current source, then-current is divided as follows

IR1=I[1R11R1+1R2+ ...... +1Rn]

When two resistors are connected in parallel, then-current is divided as follows

By using current division rule,

The current flows through the resistor R1 is IR1=I(R2R1+R2)

The current flows through the resistor R2 is IR2=I(R1R1+R2)

Application;

Let R1 = 20 Ω, R2 = 60 Ω, I = 40 A

IR2=I(R1R1+R2)

IR2 = I60Ω = 40 × (20 / 80) 

I60Ω = 10 A
