Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
The difference between the cost price and selling price of a pair of shoes is Rs. 1,200
Profit % = 15%
Concept used:
Selling price = Cost price × (100 + profit)%
Calculation:
Let the cost price of the pair of shoes be 100a
So, selling price = 100a × 115%
⇒ 115a
According to the question,
115a - 100a = 1200
⇒ 15a = 1200
⇒ a = 80
So, selling price = 115 × 80
⇒ 9200
∴ The selling price is Rs. 9200.
