Statements:

Some erasers are rulers.

All rulers are copies.

All pens are erasers.

Venn diagram:

F2 Madhuri Engineering 20.01.2023 D70

Conclusions:

I. All pens are rulers → Does not follow → We have 'all pens are erasers' and 'some erasers are rulers' but we do not have a direct relationship between pens and rulers thus the conclusion does not follow.

II. Some pens are copies → Does not follow → We do not have a direct relationship between pens and copies so we can not conclude any definite situation.

III. Some erasers are copies → Follow → From the statements 'some erasers are rulers' and 'all rulers are copies' so it is true that 'some erasers are copies' and the same can be seen in the Venn diagram, therefore, the conclusion follows.

So, only conclusion III follows.

Hence the correct answer is option 2).
