Given:

x : y = 5 : 4

Explanation:

(x/y) = (5/4)

(y/x) = (4/5)

Now, \(\left( {\frac{x}{y}} \right):\left( {\frac{y}{x}} \right)\) = (5/4)/(4/5) = 25/16

∴ \(\left( {\frac{x}{y}} \right):\left( {\frac{y}{x}} \right)\) = 25 : 16
