From the above statements the sitting arrangement is as given below:

From this statement, there are 3 cases possible:

• Now, one place is remaining, and "A" is remaining to sit. so A will sit on that place.
• So, the final sitting arrangement of 8 friends is as given below:

• Now, the question says there is only person between C and E. So, cases 1 and 3 are eliminated.
• In figure (2), when counted from the right of E, we can see that there is only one person between E and C.

As we can see from the figure (2), "B" is sitting between E and C.
