समजा चौकोनी बाजू (= 2 सेमी) आहे.

⇒ चौरस क्षेत्रफळ = a2 = 22 = 4 सेमी2

⇒ त्रिकोणाचे क्षेत्र = 4/2 = 2 सेमी2

समजा त्रिकोणाची बाजू x सेमी आहे.

∵  त्रिकोणाचे क्षेत्रफळ = √3/4 × x2

= √3/4 × x2
