Perfect frames are the one which can be analyzed using the three conditions of static equilibrium.
For these truss frames:

Redundant frame is a frame having more number of members than required such that there is always a member in which force cannot be computed using equations of static equilibrium, we need other equation like compatibility equations to find force in redundant members. For these,
n > 2j-3
Deficient frame is frame having less number of members than required for perfect frame. For these,
n < 2j-3
Here, n is number of members and j is number of joints.
Calculations:
No of joints, j = 6
No of members, n = 10
So, 2j-3 = 2× 6 – 3 = 9
As (n =10) > (2j-3 = 9), the given frame is redundant.
