Maximum sliding velocity in Oldham’s coupling

= Peripheral velocity along the circular path

= angular velocity of shaft × distance between shafts = ω × d

Calculation:

d = 20 mm = 0.020 m, N = 200 rpm

\(\therefore {\rm{\omega }} = \frac{{2\pi \times 200}}{{60}} = 20.94~\frac{{rad}}{s}\)
