In a class of 35 students, Kunal is placed seventh from the bottom whereas Sonali is placed ninth from the top. Pulkit is placed exactly in between the two. What is Pulkit’s position from Kunal?

According to the question:

Position of Sonali from top = 9^th

Position of Kunal from bottom = 7^th

Students between Sonali and Kunal = Total students - (position of Sonali from top + position of Kunal from bottom).

= 35 - (9 + 7)

= 35 - 16

= 19

Now, Pulkit is placed exactly in between Sonali and Kunal. So, 

Position of Pulkit from Kunal's position = (19 + 1) ÷ 2

= 20 ÷ 2

= 10^th

Hence, 10^th is the correct answer.
