संकल्पना:

  • हम जानते हैं कि f(x), x = c पर निरंतर है यदि 

LHL = RHL = f(c) का मान अर्थात् 

 

गणना:

दिया गया है:  

                      (∵ |x| = -x, यदि x < 0है।)

                    (∵ |x| = x, यदि  x > 0 है।)

यहाँ, LHL ≠ RHL, इसलिए f(x) अनिरंतर है।
