Given : 

A thief is seen by a policeman at a distance of x meters.

Policeman starts chasing him with a speed of 75 km/h.

Thief also starts running at the same time with a speed of 45 km/h.

Calculation : 
F2 Vinanti Engineering 21.09.23 D1

Now, the time taken by Police man = time taken by thief to get caught

⇒ (x + 900)/75 = 900/45

⇒ 45x + 45 × 900 = 900 × 75

⇒ 45x = 900 × 30

⇒ x = 27000/45 = 600 m

∴ The correct answer is 600 m.
