Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Sales of T-shirts of Brand Z in 2009 = 1160
Sales of T-shirts of Brand Y in 2006 = 1060
Sales of T-shirts of Brand Y in 2007 = 930
Sales of T-shirts of Brand Y in 2008 = 990
Sales of T-shirts of Brand Y in 2009 = 1020
Formula used:
Total sales of Brand Y = Sales in 2006 + Sales in 2007 + Sales in 2008 + Sales in 2009
Percentage of T-shirts of Brand Z in total sale of Brand Y = (Sales of Brand Z in 2009 / Total sales of Brand Y) × 100
Calculations:
Total sales of Brand Y = 1060 + 930 + 990 + 1020 = 4000
Now, calculate the percentage of Brand Z's sale in Brand Y's total sale in 2009:
Percentage = (1160 / 4000) × 100 = 29%
∴ The percentage of total sale of Brand Y T-shirt that is Brand Z T-shirt sold in 2009 is 29%.
