Basic Teaching Model: It is a psychological teaching model and was developed by Robert Glaser in 1962. This model explains the relationship between teaching and learning.

Important Points

He has divided the teaching into  four important components:

  1. Instructional Objectives: These represent teacher objectives as well as learner objectives. Their main purpose is to guide the teacher in the selection of the subject matter, materials, and activities while organizing teaching.
  2. Entry/Prior Behaviour: This behaviour pattern of a student at the time of entering the instructional process is called entry behaviour.
  3. Instructional Process: It is the teaching process or instructional strategies and actions to be taken by the teacher during the teaching-learning process. It will depend on the instructional objectives and types of learning materials.
  4. Evaluation of Achievement or Performance Assessment: It is the extent to which learning objectives are achieved by the learner or have been achieved at the end of the term.

Hence, option 2 is correct.
