Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
The population of a town increases 5% annually.'
If its present population is 84,000, what will be its population in 2 years time
Calculation:
If the population of the town increases by 5% annually,
the population after one year will be
⇒ 84,000 + (84,000 × 5%) = 84,000 + 4200 = 88,200
And after two years, the population will be
⇒ 88,200 + (88,200 × 5%) = 88,200 + 4410 = 92,610
So, in two years time, the population of the town will be 92,610.
