Concept used:

Percentage growth = ((New capacity - Old capacity) / Old capacity) × 100

Calculation:

For State X:

⇒ Solar: Percentage growth = × 100 = 40%

⇒  Wind: Percentage growth =  × 100 = 50%

⇒ Coal: Percentage growth =  × 100 = 5%

For State Y:

⇒ Solar: Percentage growth =  × 100 = 33.33%

⇒ Wind: Percentage growth = × 100 = 25%

⇒ Coal: Percentage growth =  × 100 = 10%

The maximum percentage decadal growth is 50% for Wind energy in State X.

∴ The maximum percentage decadal growth in installed capacity of electricity was for Wind energy in State X.
