What was the per capita availability of electricity in state X in the year 2021?
Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Population of State X in 2021: 60 million
Installed capacity of solar energy in State X in 2021: 28 GW
Installed capacity of wind energy in State X in 2021: 15 GW
Installed capacity of coal energy in State X in 2021: 42 GW
Calculation:
Total installed capacity = Installed capacity of solar energy + Installed capacity of wind energy + Installed capacity of coal energy
Total installed capacity = 28 GW + 15 GW + 42 GW = 85 GW
Per capita availability = Total installed capacity / Population
⇒ 85 GW ÷ 60 million ≈ 1.416 kW
∴ The per capita availability of electricity in State X in the year 2021 is approximately 1.41 kW.
