Question
Download Solution PDFDinesh, Naga, and Naren enter into a partnership. Dinesh contributes one-third of the whole capital while Naga contributes as much as the contribution of Dinesh and Naren together. If the profit at the end of the year is Rs. 1,05,000, how much would Naren receive? (In Rs.)
Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Dinesh = \(1 \over 3\)
Naga = Dinesh + Naren
Profit = Rs. 105000
Calculation:
Let us consider
Dinesh = X
Naga = Y
Naren = Z
From the given data,
Share of Dinesh = \(1 \over 3\)
Let us consider, Z = Y
Share of Y = X + Z
Share of Y = X + Y
⇒ Y = \(1 \over 3\) + Y
So,
⇒ \({2 \over 3} + 2Y = 1\)
Share of Y = \(1 \over 2\)
Share of Z = \(1 \over 6\)
From the above calculation,
Ratio of X : Y : Z = \({1 \over 3 } : {1 \over 2} :{1 \over 6} \)
We know that, total profit is Rs. 105000
Amount received by Z = \(105000 × {1 \over 6}\) = 17500
∴ Naren receive Rs. 17500 profit at the end of the year.
