HP TGT Selection Process 2025

The HP TGT selection process consists of multiple stages that candidates must successfully complete to secure their positions. Below are the key stages of the selection process:

• Computer Based Test/Written Examination: The written examination is the primary stage of the selection process and will test the candidates' knowledge and skills related to the subject. It will consist of multiple-choice questions covering relevant topics as per the syllabus.
• Document Verification: Following the written examination, document verification will be conducted to ensure that all the provided documents are authentic. Candidates must provide original copies of their documents for verification to proceed with the final selection.

HP TGT Eligibility 2025

The HP TGT teacher eligibility criteria ensure that only qualified candidates are considered for the exam. Candidates must meet specific age, educational, and other qualifications to be eligible for the exam.

HP TGT Age Limit

The applicants must be at least 18 years of age while applying for this exam. The upper age limit prescribed in the official notification is 45 years as on 1st January, 2025.

HP TGT Educational Qualification

For the separate posts of TET Arts, Medical and Non Medical is different. There are a lot of qualification alternatives which are there.

HP TGT Arts Educational Qualification

1. BA/B.COM./Post Graduation (Master Degree in any discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.A./B.Com.) from a Recognized University with at least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post Graduation and 1 year’s Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) / 2 year’s Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)/ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution.

OR

Post Graduation (Master Degree in any discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.A./B.Com.) with a minimum 55% marks and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution.

OR

Senior Secondary/10 +2 with at least 50% marks and 4 years B. A. education (Ed.) (Special Education)

AND

1. Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) duly conducted by H.P. Board of School Education Dharamshala, Dist. Kangra or any other Agency authorized by the Government provided that a candidate must have passed Matriculation and 10 +2 from any School/Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh.

HP TGT Non Medical Educational Qualification

1. B.SC. (non medical)/ Post Graduation {M.Sc. in any science discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.Sc. (NM)} from a recognized University with at least 50% marks either in B.Sc. (non medical) or in Post Graduation and 1 year’s Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution.

OR

Post Graduation {M.Sc. in any science discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation degree in B.Sc.(NM)} with a minimum of 55% marks and three- year integrated B.Ed. -M.Ed. from a National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution.

OR

Senior Secondary/10 +2 in Science (Non-Medical) with at least 50% marks and a 4 year’s Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.)

OR 

Senior Secondary/10 +2 in Science (Non-Medical) with at least 50% marks and a 4 year’s B.Sc. (Non Medical), ED./B. Sc.(Non-Medical)

OR

B.Sc. (Non Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1 year’s Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) (Special Education).

AND

1. Pass in the TET duly conducted by HP Board of School Education Dharamshala or any agency authorized by the Government provided the candidate must have passed matriculation and 10 +2 from any school/Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh.

HP TGT Medical Educational Qualification

1. B.Sc.(Medical)/Post Graduation {M.Sc. in any science discipline provided that the candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.Sc.(Medical)} from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in B.Sc.(Medical) or Post Graduation and 1 year’s Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)/2 year’s Bachelor of education (B.Ed.) / Bachelor of education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution.

OR

Post Graduation {M.Sc. in any science discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.Sc. (Medical)} with minimum of 55% marks and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from a National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution.

OR

Senior secondary/10 +2 in Science (Medical) with at least 50% marks and 4 year’s B.Sc. (Medical) ED/B.Sc. (Medical) B.Ed. 

OR

B.Sc. (Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1 year’s Bachelor in education (B.Ed.) (Special Education)

AND

1. Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) duly conducted by HP. Board of school education Dharamshala, provided that a candidate must have passed Matriculation and 10 +2 from any school/Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh.
