Kirchoff's Current Law

According to KCL the sum of incoming and outgoing current at a node is equal to zero.

ΣI = 0

Assuming the direction of incoming current to be -ve and outgoing +ve.

Applying KCL at Node A:

- 15 + IR + 2IR = 0

IR = 5 A

Additional Information

Kirchoff's Voltage Law

It states that the algebraic sum of potential drops in a closed circuit is zero.

ΣV = 0

−V + I R1 + I R2 = 0
