Given:

Side of equilateral triangle = 8 cm

Height = 30  cm

Formula used:

The volume of the pyramid (V) = (1/3) × Base Area × Height

Area of equilateral triangle = (√3/4) × a2   (where a is the side of the equilateral triangle)

Calculations:

⇒ Area of triangle = (√3/4) × 8 × 8

⇒ Area of equilateral triangle = 16√3 cm2

⇒ The volume of pyramid = (1/3) × 16√3 × 30√3

⇒ V = 480 cm3

∴ The volume of the pyramid is 480 cm3
