Interconnection of coils

1.) Series connection: 

If the magnetic fluxes of two coils support each other, then the connection is called series addition.

If the magnetic fluxes of two coils oppose each other, then the connection is called series opposing.

1.) Parallel connection: 

When the direction of magnetic flux produced by the inductors in parallel is in the same direction, it is in parallel addition.

When the direction of magnetic flux produced by the inductors in parallel is in the opposite direction, it is in parallel opposing.
