Calculation:

The total number of students in school = 1000

Students who play chess = 300

Students who play football = 600

Students who play both chess and football = 50

Hence the total number of students playing sports = 250 + 50 + 550 = 850

∴ The total number of students not playing any of the sports = 1000 – 850 = 150
