गणना:

दिया गया है: $f (x) : {\begin{matrix} - \frac{x}{\sqrt{x^{2}}}, x \neq 0 \\ 0. x = 0 \end{matrix}$

$f (x) = - \frac{x}{\sqrt{x^{2}}}$

$\Rightarrow f (x) = - \frac{x}{| x |}$

$L H L = lim_{x \to 0^{-}} f (x) = - \frac{x}{- x} = 1$ (∵ |x| = -x, यदि x < 0है।)

$R H L = lim_{x \to 0^{+}} f (x) = - \frac{x}{x} = - 1$ (∵ |x| = x, यदि x > 0 है।)

यहाँ, LHL ≠ RHL, इसलिए f(x) अनिरंतर है।
